Newgate Apartments, constructed in partnership with the Province of BC, City of Kelowna and the John Howard Society, provides 49 studio apartments of longer-term, transitional housing with integrated support services for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The four-storey, wood-frame building includes offices and program space on the ground floor. The three upper floors each house 14 apartments. On site are 17 parking spaces as well as 16 spaces for bike storage.
The building is designed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standards.
