Summary

We are seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join our skilled workforce at Greyback Construction Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Our mechanics service and repair a wide variety of equipment from small tools, to scissor lifts and manlifts, to our fleet of work trucks. . If you’re looking for something new and exciting everyday, this is the place for you. Home base is our shop and yard at 402 Warren Ave East in Beautiful Penticton, B.C.

Responsibilities

• Service and repairs at our shop as well as service and repair work on our construction sites as needed throughout the Okanagan Valley
• Work alongside a team of mechanics, prioritizing daily tasks to ensure our sites have the tools and equipment they need to do their job
• Perform service work and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Check equipment for performance and diagnose problems to determine repairs required
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for repairs and assembly tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all mechanical tasks.

Requirements

• Class 5 drivers license required, class 3 or 1 would be very useful for road testing purposes
• Apprentice level 2+ required,  Certified Journeyman Mechanic preferred
• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and automotive repair techniques.
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience

Greyback Construction Ltd. is a General Contracting firm located in Penticton, BC. With over 40 years of experience, we have gained a solid reputation for quality, safety, value, and the ability to complete wide-ranging projects in the Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Institutional market sectors.

We are hiring experienced ticketed/un-ticketed carpenters with concrete forming experience for a 6-month job we are doing in Logan Lake at the Highland Valley Copper Mine.

 

• 3 years of concrete forming experience is required.
• Previous Overpass or Bridge construction experience is an asset
• Experience with the EFCO forming system is an asset 
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
