The 25,000 sqft hatchery facility is part of a long-term program to restore the historical range of Sockeye in the upper Okanagan watershed, Okanagan Lake, and Skaha Lake systems, a region of the Columbia River Basin.

The hatchery project consists of two engineered steel structures: a combined Hatchery/Raceway building and a separate laboratory building, both of which were constructed on concrete slabs and foundations.

The project included extensive specialty Process Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation requirements.
