Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre

Since 2010 the District of Vanderhoof has been working towards bringing an indoor aquatic centre to the community. In 2017 Greyback Construction began building the new Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre.

The aquatic centre is designed to meet the needs of residents for the next 50 plus years, and includes the following features:

• A six lane, 25 meter lap pool, with a depths of 1 meter to 2.1 meters;
• A warm water leisure pool with a ramp and stairs, water sprays, a tot slide, and a lazy river;
• A whirlpool with a capacity of 20 people;
• Universal dressing rooms with ease of access for all;
• A tiled pool deck;
• Glazing, which provides views into the pool, and out to the mountains;
• The crowning feature of the project is a series of tiled, concrete formations throughout the leisure pool that resemble natural crystals.
