NewCap Radio - Giant FM

In 2012 when new owners NewCap Radio purchased Giant FM in Penticton, Greyback completed comprehensive improvements to an existing commercial space, including demolition of existing partition walls, light fixtures and flooring; reintallation of all new fixtures & fittings and painting the entire area.

Particular challenges of this project included:

• installation of soundproof walls to radio broadcasting specifications (double 5/8 drywall soft-glued together to restrict reverberation) soundproof double-paned deflected windows
• 1.5" thick soundproof insulated ceilings
• retractable weather seal doors with auto dropdown bottom seals
• 6" acoustic soundproof bat insulation
• insulated flex ductwork to minimize sound transference
